24 agosto Lubbock FINALLY Makes National News For Something GoodCongratulations Lubbock Western Little League! As EVERYBODY in the LBK knows, they are playing in the Little League World Series and have advanced to the U.S. final to be played on Saturday. 2007--Lubbock's undefeated Western Little League team advances to Little League World Series U.S. final! 03 agosto The Coolest Summer....Ever?I heard the other day on the news that, if Lubbock doesn't hit 100 degrees at all this summer, it will be the first summer on record that we didn't have even one 100-degree day. I know that I have really appreciated the cool temperatures this summer...as has my bank account. Summer electric bills can be killers.
I was in central Texas the other day. It was 99 degree and about 65% humidity. I thought I was going to melt into a pile of sweat. Ugh. It was really a time I was gratefull to live up here where it's high and dry. |
